Babylon Interim Superintendent Recognized as Leader in Education

Babylon Interim Superintendent Dr. Peter Daly was awarded by St. John's University for his work.

Dr. Peter R. Daly, Interim Superintendent of the Babylon Schools, was recognized for his leadership in education at the St. John’s University Fourth Annual Leaders in Education Awards Dinner.

Dr. Daly, who received his doctorate in education from St. John’s University in 2008, has served the Babylon School District and community since 1999.

In conjunction with the School of Education and the Office of Alumni Relations, the Fourth Annual Leaders in Education Award recognizes members of the academic community who have made outstanding contributions to the field of education.

“It is a pleasure and an honor to be the recipient of this year’s Leaders in Education Award,” said Dr. Daly. “I strongly believe that working in education is a noble and rewarding career, and that we play a vital role in the future of the children we serve every day. Thank you for this distinguished honor.”
