Babylon Resident Graduates Summa Cum Laude

Jennifer Rice graduated from St. Joseph's College with some of the top honors.

A Babylon Village resident recently graduated college at the top of her class.

Jennifer Rice, a village resident, graduated summa cum laude from St. Joseph’s College during a ceremony held on May 28, 2013 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Jennifer was awarded the degree of a B.A. in Child Study and Mathematics.

Jennifer will be attending Harvard University this fall, pursuing a master’s of education degree.

In addition, Jennifer received the SJC Board of Trustees Scholarship and the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State College Scholarship.

In addition, Jennifer was a valedictorian candidate and member of the Sigma Iota Chi Honor Society, Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society, Kappa Gamma Pi Honor Society, Kappa Mu Epsilon Honor Society and the SJC Honor’s Program. 

Jennifer was also an Orientation Team Leader, a Chalk-and –Wire E-Portfolio student ambassador and Vice President of the NYS CEC Student Association.
