Babylon School District Launches Facebook Page
District aims to communicate more closely with students and parents on the social network.
You can now "like" the Babylon School District – right on Facebook.
The school district announced the official launch of its own Facebook page after an awards ceremony at Babylon Junior-Senior High School on Monday evening.
The new page, which can be found by clicking here, features announcements from the district, news and photos from the schools and allows parents and students to easily find information through a medium many are already comfortable using.
The district also lauded its other social media presence on the video-sharing website Vimeo. Videos featuring student presentations, projects and other in-school activities are featured throughout the district's profile page.
Other nearby districts, including North Babylon and West Babylon, also created Facebook pages within the last year to help better communication and get messages out more easily.
