Babylon Schools Closed Monday and Tuesday

All Babylon Schools are closed on Monday and Tuesday, October 29th and 30th, as Hurricane Sandy approached.

The Babylon School District has decided to close all Babylon schools on Monday, October 29th and Tuesday, October 30th as Hurricane Sandy is expected to slam the area.

The school district announced the closure of all area schools on the district website following the forecasted landfall of Hurricane Sandy in our area on Monday.

With winds expected to rip into Long Island at 50 to 75 miles per hour and storm surges up to 11 feet, the district did not take any chances with its students – much like other Long Island and New York school districts.
