Babylon High School senior Jedidiah Dale has been selected as a Commended Student out of more than 1.5 million candidates nationwide in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

This year, approximately 34,000 students earned this distinction based on their exceptional academic promise and their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

Although Jedidiah will not continue in the 2014 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, this honor recognizes that he placed among the top 5 percent of students who entered the competition.
