Back to School: Supplies Your Child Will Need

The countdown has begun for parents across the Babylon School District – less than a month until the kids are back at school from about 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every weekday. With little time left, the Babylon School District has released select classes' supply lists through their website from grades three through six.

Here at Patch, we're about making things easier for you though. We've got those lists right here for both download and good old print for ease of viewing.

Grade 3 Supply List

• 5 Black and White composition notebooks
• 3 boxes of 24 count #2 pencils, sharpened
• 2 pens (any color)
• 2 large glue sticks
• 1 box of crayons
• 1 pair of scissors – Fiskar 5" sharp
• 4 folders with bottom pockets
• 2 Kleenex 175 count
• 1 Crayola washable markets – 8 count, broad point
• 1 Crayola colored pencils – 12 count, long
• 2 dry-erase, low odor markers
• 1 pack of Post-It notes, yellow 3" x 3"
• 2 highlighters
• 1 pack of 3" x 5" index cards
• 1 ruler (in inches)
• 1 pencil sharpener
• 1 plastic shoebox – 6 quarts
• 1 pair of headphones or earbuds (with 1/8" audio connector)

 Grade 4 Supply List

• 4 durable folders with bottom pockets (red, blue, green, orange)
• 5 marble composition books – 100 sheets, black
• 1 Sharpie – ultra fine point permanent black marker
• 1 Fiskar 5" scissor
• 1 Crayola colored pencils – 12 count, long
• 1 24 pack of crayons
• 1 8 pack of markers
• 5 glue sticks – Elmer's, .77 oz.
• 2 tissue boxes, 175 count
• 2 boxes of 24-count #2 yellow pencils, sharpened
• 1 highlighter, barrel-style, yellow
• 3 Post-It notes, yellow 3" x 3"
• 1 soft pencil case with zipper
• pair of headphones or earbuds (with 1/8" audio connector)

Grade 5 Supply List

• 1 zippered binder – heavy duty
• 1 5-subject spiral notebook
• 2 3-subject spiral notebooks
• 1 1-subject spiral notebook
• 3 marble composition notebooks
• 6 plastic folders with pockets and binder holes
• 1 zippered pencil bag with holes
• 1 glue stick
• 1 box of tissues
• 2 packages of 3" x 5" lined index cars
• 3 individual gallon-sized Ziploc bags
• 1 box of 12-count colored pencils
• 1 pack of Post-It Notes with lines
• Several pens, sharpened pencils and erasers
• 1 hand-held pencil sharpener

Grade 6 Supply List

• 1 floppy binder
• 5 marble compostion notebooks
• 1 3-subject spiral notebook
• 1 glue stick
• 1 ruler – 12", with inches and centimeters
• 8 folders
• Several pens and #2 pencils, sharpened
• 1 pack of 3" x 3" Post-It Notes
• 1 box of tissues
• 1 basic calculator
• 1 pack of looseleaf paper
• 1 pair of headphones or earbuds (with 1/8" audio connector)
