Ten local restaurants and nine residents are set to square off against each other at Homecoming this weekend for the Babylon Booster Club's first annual Chili/Chowder Cook-Off.
The Booster Club will be holding the event before this weekend's Homecoming Game between the Babylon Panthers and visiting Hampton Bays Baymen starting at 2 p.m.
Ten Babylon restaurants will face-off against each other for the titles of "Best Chili in Babylon" and "Best Chowder in Babylon," including:
- Argyle Grill and Tavern
- Babylon Fish and Clam
- Bagelicious
- Carriage House
- Horace and Sylvia's
- Lily Flannagan’s
- Nocturne
- Post Office Cafe
- Swell Taco
- Tres Palm

Nine residents will also compete against each other for the title of "Best Chili in Babylon," which includes a Booster Apron, membership and, of course, bragging rights:

The Chili and Chowder will be judged following the game by a panel of local residents and officials, including Mayor Ralph Scordino, Babylon HS Principal Al Cirone and Babylon Superintendent Richard Rozakis.
