Forest Avenue Elementary's Andrea Francisco Named School Library Media Specialist of the Year

Librarian at West Babylon school wins award.

Forest Avenue Elementary School media specialist/librarian Andrea Francisco has been named the 2014 School Library Media Specialist of the Year by Western Suffolk BOCES School Library System during its 16th annual conference, “Digging Digital: Engaging Students.” 

This award is presented to a school library specialist who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to students and staff and a love of reading through creative programming. Ms. Francisco was also given this award for having participated in professional development in support of excellence in librarianship.

The West Babylon School District congratulated Ms. Francisco on this outstanding achievement and wished her continued success in her career at West Babylon Schools.
