Forest Avenue Students Celebrate Holiday Traditions

Students learn about different holiday celebrations during the end of the year.

Second-graders in Heidi Last’s class at Forest Avenue Elementary School recently celebrated various cultures and the holiday traditions that they share with their families.

The students wrote about and illustrated their favorite holiday traditions and then shared their writing with their classmates, exploring the similarities and differences in their holiday experiences.

“This was fun to do because I learned that we all do things differently,” said one enthusiastic student. “I found out that my friend stays in his pajamas all day with his family on Christmas Day!”
