Nine West Babylon HS Students Receive All-County Honors

Nine West Babylon High School students were selected to represent the district at this year's All County Music Festival

The West Babylon Senior High School Music Department announced the selection of nine students to represent the district at the 2012 New York State Council of Administrators of Music Education/Suffolk County Music Educators Association's Suffolk All-County Music Festival. These students were selected to participate in the annual festival from a pool of hundreds of high school juniors and seniors throughout the county.

Selection to an All-County performing group is based on a variety of factors, including superior scores at the annual New York State School Music Association solo festival each spring, as well as the highest level of recommendation from the student's high school music instructor.

Selected students will perform in the 2012 All-County Music Festival concerts held at Northport High School on Friday evening, Nov. 16, 2012.

In addition to the nine All-County students, Abigail Carberry was selected to represent the district at the NYSSMA All-State Music Festival to be held at the Eastman Theatre in Rochester, N.Y. from Nov. 29 through Dec. 2.
