On The Agenda: Babylon Board of Education on Monday

The board will look to approve multiple appointments throughout the district tonight, including substitute teachers and new coaches.

The Babylon School District will be hosting a regular meeting of its Board of Education tonight at 7 p.m. in the library of the .

The Board will discuss the following items contained on their agenda for tonight:

  • The Board will vote to approve the appointment of a new library specialist for the Babylon Memorial Grade School.
  • The Board will vote to approve the appointment of a new part-time American Sign Language high school teacher.
  • The Board will vote to approve a new Curriculum Coordinators list, eliminating a position from a previous approval.
  • The Board will vote to approve a wide range of non-teacher positions throughout the district, including aides, monitors, food servicers and custodians.
  • The Board will vote to approve a number of non-permenant substitute teachers.
  • The Board will vote to approve new coaches for Junior Varsity cheerleading and girls' soccer.
  • The Board will vote to approve Special Education contracts with various school districts.
