Babylon Junior-Senior High School teacher Jenna Cucci has been cited as a promising professional in her career.

Babylon Junior-Senior High School teacher Jenna Cucci has received the 2011 Promising New Professional for Long Island Family and Consumer Sciences East Award from the New York State Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Educators.

This award recognizes teachers who are beginning their careers in the area of family and consumer sciences and have demonstrated outstanding effectiveness in the classroom. Ms. Cucci was nominated for this award by an anonymous colleague and selected by a panel of judges.

This year, Ms. Cucci has taught sixth through eighth-grade home and careers, as well as the high school culinary classes and fashion marketing.
