PTSA Holds Night of Music at Bean

High school musicians performed to raise money for a new Babylon High School marquee.

On Saturday, May 12th, the Babylon PTSA held a "Night of Music" at The Babylon Bean. Joan Navarra, co-president of the PTSA, hosted the event. Babylon High School seniors Matt McLean, Sarah Wilkens, Adam Marrone, junior Jimmy Navarra and freshman Tyler Gumpel performed music for the cause, a fundraiser to raise money for a new electronic marquee.

A standing-room only crowd of parents and students came to The Bean to listen and donate funds toward the new marquee, which would replace the existing static marquee that stands across North Carll Avenue from the high school. The PTSA thanked Babylon Bean owner, Sal Gervasi, for "giving them a great venue to perform at and also for his generous contribution to the fundraiser."

AnneMarie Martino, co-president of the PTSA, said "The event was a success in many ways and most attending asked us when we will do this again. Stay tuned!"
