Students of all grades in the Santapogue Elementary School in the West Babylon Union Free School District enjoyed a visit by Patricia Shih, professional songwriter and musician, during an interactive performance called “Big Ideas.”
Students moved to the music and interacted with Shih while she sang about kindness and the importance of being a friend, reading books and getting back into the school “groove!”
The performance was provided by the school’s PTA Cultural Arts Committee and was intended to welcome students back to school and support Santapogue’s character education ideals.
