Satntapogue Elementary Students Make Their Mark

Fifth-graders painted a beautiful mural in the hallway of Santapogue Elementary.

Fifth-grade students of Santapogue Elementary School in the West Babylon School District are making their mark on the walls of their school by painting a mural for all to see.

The mural was inspired by Santapogue's bucket-filling theme and literature, as it is located outside of the school library. Students who were selected by their art teachers to participate were chosen because they themselves demonstrate the very bucket-filling qualities they are attempting to depict.

In order for a large sample of students to be able to experience the collaborative work project, art teachers rotated students every few weeks. Having been worked on for approximately two months, the mural is nearing completion.
