Sports Wall of Fame Has New Inductees

This year the Babylon Booster Club received, researched and, accepted the nominations of seven former Babylon High School athletes for induction into the High School Wall of Fame. The 2012 inductees are:

Walter Ersham - Track - 1951/52
Stanley Davis - Football - 1974/75
Paul Royle - Lacrosse - 1987/88
Kim Horan - Field Hockey - 1991/92
Sarah Lutz - Field Hockey - 1991/92
Erica Barger - Track Shot Put - 1993/94
Jerry Williams - Football - 1997/98

A ceremony will be held on June 9th at the high school. Many of the inductees and their families will be making the trip back to Babylon for this special honor.

According to the Babylon Boosters, "being selected to the Babylon Wall of Fame is indeed a distinct achievement. Inductees must have been selected as an All-County Player, have won an individual County Championship, have been a member of a County Championship Team, or have reached acclaim within a unique sports achievement after leaving Babylon High School. Individual must then be nominated, usually by a former classmate, and proof of athletic achievement must be provided."
