Three Candidates Running for Babylon Board of Ed.
The board will have two open spots available during the upcoming election.
Three candidates are running for two seats on the Babylon Board of Education, according to the Babylon School District.
The candidates for the 2013-2014 school year are as follows, listed in alphabetical order by last name:
- Dominic Bencivenga
- Roger Katz
- AnneMarie Martino
Bencivenga currently serves as the school board president, having been elected to the board for the 2010-2011 school year, and currently serving his second year as the president.
Katz has served the board for over eleven years, and leads the board's buildings and grounds committee.
Martino is a former school board member, having served on the board for many years through the 2009-2010 school year.
The election, along with the district's budget vote, will take place on May 21.
