W. Babylon Students Shine at Science Olympiad States

West Babylon team finishes 33rd overall, up five spots from last year.

Students of West Babylon Senior High School recently attended the annual Science Olympiad State Competition. This is the third consecutive year that the West Babylon team has reached the state level.

Students took part in the competition’s 25 events, each of which was graded, and the teams were ranked from first to 51st place. The team from West Babylon finished 33rd overall, up five spots from last year’s placement. The district received a state medal in the category of “Write It Do It,” with thanks to students Nicole Cutrone and Amber Volz.
