Crushed Olive, Baskets Galore Officially Open Their Doors

Two new businesses open to the public in the heart of the village.

Two new businesses in Babylon Village have opened their doors for the first time, quickly replacing storefronts that had been recently closed.

The Crushed Olive, a high-end cooking ingredients shop with gourmet olive oils, infused flavored olive oil and specialty balsamic vinegars, opened their doors earlier this week to a soft opening.

The shop is currently open and customers are allowed to stop in to test the vinegars, olive oils and other items the shop carries.

The Crushed Olive is located at the corner of Fire Island Avenue and West Main Street, in the former The Lite Choice storefront.

Down Deer Park Avenue from the olive oil shop, Baskets Galore has opened their doors only a few weeks after the former tenant Village Basket closed.

Baskets Galore is similar to the Village Basket, with custom gift baskets available to order for "almost any occasion" as well as ready-to-go baskets in case you are in a rush.

The new shop also offers party favors, custom candy and centerpieces for all occasions.

Baskets Galore had spent the last four years in Amityville before their recent move to 59 Deer Park Avenue.
