Football season gets underway in Babylon this Thursday!
The Babylon Panthers varsity football team will take to the field this Thursday to defend their 2012 Long Island Championship to kickoff the start of another year of high school football.
The defending champions will take on Bayport-Blue Point High School at 6 p.m. at Babylon Junior-Senior High School's Coach Williams Memorial Field.
Admission to the games, as always, is free and your support is appreciated by both players and fans alike.
The Panthers led an unbelievable season last year, running the gauntlet from beginning to end without losing a single game. Their perfect 12-0 record landed them the Suffolk County and Long Island Championships.
The 2012 team also landed the prestigious Rutgers Trophy, awarded to the best football team in Suffolk County.
