Every day Patch offers up a visual glimpse of the village and surrounding areas.
A recent visit to Cedar Beach in Babylon revealed an ocean more like a lake. Lifeguards said calm weather was making for calm waters and that clearly isn't making local surf very happy.
But this "Cedar Lake" was perfect for swimmers, especially the young ones getting their initial ocean dips.
