West Bablyon Athletic Group To Honor Its Person Of The Year

The West Babylon Athletic Association will hold its annual Person Of The Year and officer installation dinner Saturday night at The Venetian from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The organization started prior to the onset of the WB School District as a club for local people that wanted to gather and play organized sports.

Besides land donations including Sawyer Avenue and part of the WB Junior High School field, the WBAA has been raising money for sports teams, programs, equipment and families in need in West Babylon and surrounding towns for nearly 100 years.

Besides club members and supporters, local dignitaries  including Senator Owen Johnson and Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaeffer are both expected to attend.
