Babylon Lions Hosting Pool Party on Friday

Village Pool will be opened late to help raise money for local food pantries.

The Babylon Lions Club is hosting a Pool Party at the Babylon Village Pool this Friday to help raise money for local food pantries.

The pool party, set to go from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., will feature barbecued food, face painting for the kids, raffles, games and a 50-50 drawing.

The pool itself, devastated by Hurricane Sandy last October, recently was reopened following a slew of renovations and rebuilding following a winter and spring-long effort to bring it back.

The event will also feature a horseshoe tournament, volleyball and a DJ and live music.

Tickets for the event will cost $25 per adult, $5 per child 5 and under. Tickets can be purchased through the Babylon Lions website or from Mark Agovino at (631) 539-7819.
