Babylon Tuna Club Tournament Starts This Thursday

One of the village's oldest annual events gets underway this Thursday.

It’s that time of year again – The Babylon Tuna Club is hosting the Annual 62nd Tuna Tournament August 8 through 11 at the Babylon Village Docks.

Event planners tell Patch.com this year's event will be the best ever with plenty of food and music every evening, with Saturday featuring Long Island’s famous “Risky Business Band.”

Check out the event for unique vendors, activities for the kids and of course the boats coming in with “their catch” to weigh in for prizes.

There will be fresh fish for sale at the dock as well as other delectable delights, including the new "Tuna Club" 2013 t-shirt.

This year’s Babylon Tuna Tournament will also benefit our Babylon Neighbors Supporting Neighbors.  Some proceeds from the tournament will assist the local group in aiding our neighbors in rebuilding their lives from Hurricane Sandy as event planners say they want to help bring their neighbors back home.
