Town's Beach Blast Set for Saturday at Overlook Beach

The annual Babylon Town event at Overlook Beach for residents features fireworks, music and an ice cream eating contest.

Cap off the Summer by heading to Overlook Beach for the Town of Babylon’s Beach Blast this Saturday afternoon.

Set to start on August 24 at 3 p.m., the family-friendly event features relay contests, games, face-painting, rides and an annual ice cream eating contest. There will also be musical entertainment.

The event culminates in the Town’s 19th fireworks extravaganza. The display begins at dusk, and can be seen from Cedar and Overlook Beaches.

Parking is free to residents with recreation permits, according to town officials. 

Additional parking is available at and Cedar Beach Marina for residents only with a 2013 recreation permit, they added.

In the event of a rain out, the Beach Blast will be held the next day.
