Babylon Village Women's Club Throws Auction Bash

The biggest fundraiser of the year for the women-run charitable organization offered a what's-what of local gifts and products.

Close to 100 Babylon area women attended a longtime village tradition: the Babylon Village Women's Club annual fundraiser and Chinese auction. The group, established in the early 1990s holds the holiday fundraiser to help support the rest of the year's charitable community work, including a scholarship fund and food pantry donations.

Many Babylon merchants donated gifts for the raffle auction, and a silent auction saw bidding on some in demand prizes, like a year's membership to Babylon Village gym Fitness Incentive. Spas, salons, retailers, and restaurants also contributed to the night's offerings.

Members and friends enjoyed dinner, dancing, and drinks at the recent Venetian Yacht Club event. The theme of the night was "The Art of a Woman," with a member photography contest designed to challenge the women to find new talents and skills.
