Conklin House Holiday Open House Marks Start of Village Holiday Season

The annual cookie contest, as well as a special quilt raffle, were highlights of the annual event.

The annual Conklin House holiday open house event drew a big crowd that came out in force last weekend to see the beautiful decorations and learn who won the cookie contest.

Judges for the contest were Babylon Village Mayor Ralph Scordino, Paul Basile (who has won the adult category twice): Margaret Rohl (a Conklin House steering committee member); Interim School Superintendent Dr. Peter Daly, Torta Fina owner Joe Campbell and Pandemonium's Jackie DiDonato.

The winners received a $15 gift certificate to the Cold Stone creamery.

A quilt auction was also held during the holiday event. The raffle raised funds for continued renovation and work at the historic landmark.
