Dine to Support Breast Cancer Programs

Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition will host its annual Chefs for a Cause dinner next week.

The 14th Annual Chefs for a Cause fundraising dinner will be held next week at the . The Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition event will beheld on Tuesday, May 15, from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., and will feature chefs from local restaurants cooking a variety of dishes.

The event raises money for the Coalition's many programs, including services for affected women and their families, scholarships, and community awareness.

Coalition Coordinator Beverly Flaherty said this year's event is shaping up to be exciting, with several new restaurants joining in, including Sea Levels in Brightwaters, Papa Joe's in Deer Park, Babylon's , and new restauran-to-come . Mark Farrell, the former chef at Lucy's Bistro, will be there as the new chef at Tres Palms, which is slated to open at the former restaurant The Hook's location.

There will be live music, 36 raffle prizes all valued at over $200, and silent auctions for items like Disney World tickets and orthondist work.

The dinner is $75, which includes all food and wine, beer and champage. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Call 631-893-4110 for more information or to reserve a seat.
