Viewfinder: Successful Toys for Tots Drive at American Legion Post 94

The Toys for Tots fundraiser at the American Legion Post 94 Sunday night was a fantastic success, with overflowing piles of toys collected for area children.

The Toys for Tots drive sponsored annually by Babylon Village Post 94 of the American Legion was capped off by a recent fundraising dinner at the American Legion hall that featured three local United States Marines in attendance.

One of the Marines, Staff Sergeant Romanitch, grew up in Babylon Village. "The Toys for Tots program serviced over 214,000 children last year in the New York Area, including Long Island and the five boroughs. This year we hope to reach over a quarter million children," Staff Sergeant Romanitch said.
