Babylon Coated in a Few Inches of Snow

Snow expected to end in Babylon by around 5 p.m.

A passing storm system has left Babylon Village coated in a few inches of slushy white snow.

The storm began dropping flakes around 9 a.m. this morning and continued throughout the day, coating everything from streets to grassy yards before slowing down around noon.

The National Weather Service has placed the area in a Winter Weather Advisory until 5 p.m. Meteorologists are forecasting anywhere between two to five inches of snow across Long Island.

The snowfall has already caused the cancellation of afternoon activities in the West Babylon School District, but there has not been any cancellations for Babylon Schools.
