Weather Forecast
Fall has slowly taken its hold on Long Island, but we're about to see temperatures take a plunge as the week goes on. Sunny skies for the first two days this week with highs near the mid-to-upper 60's will change as rain moves in Wednesday along with a cold front. Waking up Thursday morning will be a chilling wake-up call with temperatures only peaking at 50 degrees.
Public Meetings
The Babylon School District Board of Education will hold a Work/Study meeting at Babylon Junior-Senior High School on Monday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m.
The Town of Babylon will hold a public meeting at Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22.
The Village of Babylon will also hold a regular meeting at Babylon Village Hall starting at 8 p.m. in Babylon Village Hall on Tuesday.
Defensive Driving
Get a discount on your car insurance and learn a bit about proper etiquette on the roads with a Defensive Driving course at Babylon Public Library. A class will take place this Thursday, October 24 at 10 a.m. The course is $19.00 with a two dollar reduction if you are a member of AARP.
Sporting Events
The Panthers will host McGann-Mercy in a varsity football matchup and the Babylon 18-game winning streak on the line this Friday at 6 p.m. Check out your Panthers in their final home matchup.
Babylon also has a three-game homestand for the varsity field hockey team with games on Monday (East Hampton, 4:30 p.m.), Wednesday (Port Jefferson, 4:15 p.m.) and Thursday (Greenport, 4 p.m.). Go girls!
