BABYLON
Homecoming Weekend

The Babylon Panthers will march down Deer Park Avenue in a parade heading to the school’s football field as they celebrate their Homecoming. The 5-0 Panthers will take on the Mt. Sinai Mustangs at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The annual closing of Deer Park Avenue means great food, good times and a fun day in the village. Free admission, live entertainment and more starting at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Post Office Cafe 5K
The 22nd annual race helps benefit the MPS Society as Babylon’s best runners and walkers hit the 3.1 mile course around the village starting at 9:30 a.m.
WEST ISLIPThe Headless Horseman
The South Shore Theatre Experience presents “The Headless Horseman,” an imaginative retelling of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” All tickets $10, show times are October 19 at 3 pm. and Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. The theatre is located at 350 Higbie Lane, West Islip. Animal Fundraiser
A Renaissance Party Fall Animal fundraiser will be held Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. at the Islip American Legion Hall located at 39 Nassau Ave, Islip. LINDENHURST
Night at the Cosmos
The Lindenhurst Special Education Parent Teachers Association (SEPTA) will team up with the New York Cosmos for a special night to help raise funds for special needs children in Lindenhurst. The event will take place Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. at the home of the North American Soccer League-affiliated Cosmos, Shaurt Stadium at Hofstra University in Uniondale.
Halloween Family Fun
The Lindenhurst Halloween Family Fun Day is set for Saturday, October 19, from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The annual event - which is co-sponsored by the Village of Lindenhurst, the Lindenhurst Rotary Club and the Lindenhurst Historical Society - will take place at a new location this year: Village Park at Feller's Pond, located at the intersection of Hartford Street and Irmisch Avenue.
NORTH BABYLON
If you used to hangout on Deer Park Avenue in the 70s, 80s or 90s, there's a reunion taking place at Belmont Lake State Park on Sunday from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Maples Section signs will be posted. Bring your own food/beverages. For more details contact John Caruso 516-343-7297

Homecoming
It's homecoming weekend at Deer Park High School. Come out and cheer on the Falcons! Parade starts at 11 a.m. with the game against Amityville kicking off at 1:30 p.m.
