Babylon Agenda: S.T.O.P. Program, NY Musicians Swap Meet

It may be getting a bit chilly at night, but there are still plenty of beautiful fall days ahead, including two this weekend if the forecast is accurate. So let's take a look at a few fun events taking place around the region this weekend: 

BABYLON

S.T.O.P. Program

Babylon Village will take part in its 22nd S.T.O.P. program on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in an effort to prevent dumping of possibly toxic chemicals into the water drainage system. The village will be collecting a number of different chemicals on at the Village Highway Truck Back on Carlston Place, just off of North Carll Avenue and one block north of Main Street behind the Village Hall – no questions asked.

Stop FEMA NOW Rally

A rally will be held at Babylon Town Hall called "Stop FEMA NOW" starting at noon on Saturday. Supported by Adopt-A-House, the rally will be held to inform Sandy victims about upcoming premium increases that will cost hard-hit residents even more.

Seaside 3 Open House

Seaside 3 will hold an Open House Fall Sales event, celebrating their new location on Montauk Highway at 10 a.m. on Friday. Check out some great boat sales and meet the guys.

Chinese Auction

The Lindenhurst Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Chinese Auction at Fireman's Park Pavilion starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Swing by for coffee, tea, cake and a great time.

DEER PARK

NY Musicians Swap Meet  

If you are looking for new or used equipment or want to trade come on down to the first NY Musicians Swap Meet at the Deer Park Community Center (41 Homer Ave., Deer Park) on Saturday from noon- 4 p.m. Live entertainment; food and refreshments available.
