Weekend Agenda: Paumanauke Pow Wow, Sunset Cruise Benefit

A look at what's happening this weekend in the area.

Embark on a sunset cruise to nowhere in the Great South Bay on Friday for a good cause. All ticket proceeds go directly to Adopt A House's FREE programs for local residents and to help Long Islanders recover and rebuild after Super Storm Sandy. The boat leaves out of Captree at 6 p.m.

The Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce will host its Sidewalk Sale Saturdays all day on Saturday – enjoy the weather and some of our local businesses!

Dr. K's Motown Review will take the stage Friday night at Tanner Park. The band will play a free show at 7:30 p.m.

American Legion Post 94 in Babylon will host a veterans appreciation breakfast Saturday at 8 a.m. Click here for more information.

The 33rd Annual Paumanauke Pow Wow takes place this weekend at Babylon Town Hall in Lindenhurst. Fesitivies include native food, traditional dancers and music, dance competitions and more. Adults cost $10, seniors and teens cost $5 and children under 12 are free.

The Lindenhurst Rotary and Interact Clubs are holding their yearly back-to-school-supply drive at Pathmark in West Babylon on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

West Islip Wines and Liquors is hosting a complimentary tasting of Pucker Vodka on Saturday at 4 p.m. stop by for a free taste.

Put away the fancy reunion attire and get out the beachwear and towels – the Lindenhurst High School Fourth Annual 70's (Or Any Year) Reunion happens this weekend. Lindenhurst resident Jimbo Barbarino will throw the event at Venetian Shores on August 3 starting at 5 p.m. at the Beach Hut.

Don't miss Julie Budd in "Show Stoppers" on Saturday at the Dix Hills Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30 to $50.
