Initially established in the home of a Methodist family in 1831, the United Methodist Church offers a Sunday school,…More Bible study, a children's and adult choir, a food pantry, a vacation bible school and even its own theatre group<a href="http://www.jamesstreetplayers.org"></a>. The expansive church complex includes a nursery area and a pre-school program for children two-and-half years old to four years old. There is an outdoor playground area and the school program includes circle time and crafts, as well as gym and music sessions every week. Sunday school programs are available for all ages during the 9:30 mass.</p> <p>The church Web site offers podcasts of services to those who were not able to attend mass dating back to the start of the year. It also hosts a forum where parishioners can exchange information and insight on various topics.</p>
