Babylon Man Ordered to Surrender Pitbull

Dog allegedly bit three people, including one who ended up in the hospital last month.

A Babylon Village man has been ordered to surrender his dog after three alleged attacks left at least one person hospitalized for a time.

News 12 Long Island reports Babylon resident Alan Ball was ordered by a judge to turn over his pitbull, named Muscles, over to an animal shelter in the Town of Babylon within 48 hours of his Wednesday hearing or face contempt charges.

The dog is accused of attacking a Babylon woman and at least two others over the last few months. The attack on jogger Yvonne Fleming left her hospitalized from infected bites.

Ball reportedly told the judge he had given Muscles to a Queens junkyard, but the judge said that was not good enough and demanded the dog be taken to a town shelter.

A hearing is set for next Friday to determine whether Muscles is a danger to the public and should be euthanized.
